Jerry March

Jerry March (born August 1, 1929 in Brooklyn , † December 25, 1997 ) was an American chemist and well-known specialist author.

Jerry March studied chemistry and received a BS degree from City College in 1951 and a Masters degree from Brooklyn College in 1953 . In 1956 he received his Ph. D. from Penn State University . He later became a professor of organic chemistry at Adelphi University in New York . Jerry March is the author of the popular standard reference work March's Advanced Organic Chemistry . He died of pancreatic cancer on December 25, 1997. He was married and had three children.
