Jerzy Mieczysław Chróścikowski (born August 24, 1953 in Michalinów ) is a Polish politician. Since 1997 he has been the Senator of the Republic of Poland .

Life

Chróścikowski studied at the University of Warsaw and worked from 1974 to 1978 in a coal mine in Sosnowiec . Then he ran an agricultural business in Białowola . From 1982 to 1988 he was employed by the military in Zamość and from 1991 to 1997 in the local government. From 1990 to 1998 he was a member of the local council. He has been politically active since the 1980s and belonged to various parties. From 1997 to 2001 he was a member of the Polish Senate as a representative of the Ruch Odbudowy Polski . For the party law and justicehe was a Senator from 2005 to 2007 (VI legislature), and in 2007 he was re-elected to the VII Cadence. Chróścikowski is the chairman of the Senate's Agriculture and Environmental Protection Commission ( Komisja Rolnictwa i Ochrony Środowiska ).
