Jerzy Henryk Skrabania
Jerzy Henryk Skrabania SVD (* 1957 in Wielowieś ) is a Polish church historian .
Life
Since 1979 he has been a member of the Steyler Missionaries. From 1980 to 1982 he studied philosophy in the SVD mission seminary in Pieniężno . After studying Catholic theology at Phil.-Theol. University of St. Gabriel 1983–1987, he was ordained a priest in 1987. From 1988 to 1991 he was a missionary in the Philippines . He completed his doctorate (1991–1997) in Catholic theology at the Catholic University of Lublin as a doctor of theology ( church history ). Since 1995 he has lectured at SVD mission seminary in Nysa and Pieniężno. From 1998 to 2003 he was director of the SVD publishing house Verbinum in Warsaw . Since 2004 he has been teaching as a lecturer and since 2010 as a professor of church history at the PTH St. Augustin . Since 2006 lecturer in Church History II at the St. Lambert Study House . Since 2011 he has been a member of the board of directors of the Institute of Missiology in St. Augustin. As director he heads the House of Peoples and Cultures in Sankt Augustin .
His focus is on the history of missions in Asia and Latin America.
