Jerzy Materna

Jerzy Marian Materna (born March 25, 1956 in Zielona Góra ) is a Polish politician and has been a member of the Sejm in the V and VI since 2005 . Electoral term.

In 1983 he graduated from the Faculty of Construction of the Technical University of Zielona Góra . From 1984 to 1990 he worked as a site manager in a municipal construction and renovation company. He then had managerial positions in private companies and ran his own business. For a few years until 2002 he was the councilor of Zielona Góra.

After 1993 he belonged to the Catholic right-wing conservative Porozumienie Centrum (Center Agreement - PC), then he joined the Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (Law and Justice - PiS). In the 2005 parliamentary elections , he was elected to the Sejm from the list of PiS for the constituency of Zielona Góra. In the 2007 Sejm elections , he was confirmed as a member of the PiS with 14,597 votes. He is a member of the Sejm Commissions for Infrastructure and EU Affairs.
