Jesper Dahlbäck (* 1974 ) is a techno - DJ and - producer from Sweden . He publishes under his real name and under numerous pseudonyms such as Lenk , ADJD (with Alexi Delano ), The Persuader , Hugg & Pepp (with his cousin John Dahlbäck ), Dahlback , Dick Track , Faxid , Groove Machine , Janne Me 'Amazonen , The Pinguin Man or DK (with Thomas Krome ).

biography

At 17, Jesper started producing techno tracks. He got his inspiration from Detroit techno and European artists from London and Berlin.

In 1993 he founded Globe Studios with Adam Beyer and Peter Benisch . With his entry as a salesman in the record store Planet Rhythm and as a producer for the label of the same name, he made a name for himself in the scene under the alias Lenk . Together with Cari Lekebusch and Adam Beyer, they create hard, electronic, monotonous tracks that have received the label Schweden-Techno in the specialist press .

Dahlbäck showed his musical versatility when he established the house label Svek together with the Swiss Stephan Grieder . Dahlbäck acted mainly as a producer there. In 1998 and 2001 the label was nominated for the Swedish Grammis music award. In 1999 he met the Canadian producer Tiga . With him he produces, among other things, the club hit Pleasure From The Bass .

Currently, Dahlbäck has renounced the hard monotonous techno and is pushing the preservation of the classic acid sound with many outputs. Dahlbäck struggles with the DJ disease tinnitus , which is why he has recently concentrated his activities on the production of pieces of music.
