Jesse Pennington (born August 23, 1883 in West Bromwich , † September 5, 1970 in Kidderminster ) was an English football player who was best known in the early 20th century.

Born in West Bromwich , Pennington was West Bromwich Albion's left-back for 19 years (March 1903 to May 1922) . Although his career was interrupted by World War I, Pennington ran in 455 league games and led the team as captain to the championship in 1920. He was also a member of the team that rose from the Second Division in 1911 and made it to the FA Cup final in 1912 .

Pennington played 25 times for the English national football team between March 18, 1907 and April 10, 1920 and led the team once as captain.

After the end of his active career, he worked as a player observer for West Bromwich Albion from 1950 to 1960 and was made a lifelong member of the club in 1969 before he died a year later in Kidderminster .
