history
The Jesuit high school in Kaunas was founded by Jesuits in 1649. In the following centuries it was repeatedly closed in connection with politico-national or ideological measures of repression directed against Lithuanian identity or Christian faith. The last reopening of the Kaunas Jesuit High School took place in 1991.
