Jesuit High School in Vilnius Old Town

The Jesuit high school Vilnius ( lit .: Vilniaus jėzuitų gimnazija ), based in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, is a Jesuit- run higher education institution for boys and girls. The school sees itself in the Jesuit educational tradition and is located directly next to the St. Casimir Church and the town hall in the center of the old town . It is one of the best schools in Lithuania and is funded by the Federal Foreign Office . Even Chancellor Angela Merkel visited the school already.

history

The Jesuit grammar school in Vilnius was founded by Jesuits in 1570 as the Collegium Vilnense Societati Jesu .

In 1997 there were the first high school graduates and since 1998 there has been an intensive partnership with the St. Blasien college .
