Jesus Cantero (born March 9, 1982 in Madrid ) is a Spanish table tennis player .

Career

He had his first international assignments in 2011, as he was rarely used due to strong Spanish competition. So he took part in the World Championships in Rotterdam , where he was able to reach the second round in the individual, but here Zhang Jike was defeated.

In 2012 Cantero won his first Pro Tour medal in singles at the Spanish Open , and he was also allowed to take part in the World Championship for teams. Here Cantero came as part of the Spanish team in third place in the group and was eliminated. In 2013 he was less active, but was able to take part in the Chile Open, where he won bronze.

The Spaniard was also nominated for the World Cup , but was stopped in qualifying. He finished the Spanish Open 2014 with second place in singles and doubles. In 2015 he only took part in one World Tour tournament, in 2016 he was active in the French League, among other things, but was rarely seen on the international stage.
