The SC Hartenfels Torgau 04 e. V. is a football club from the north Saxon district capital Torgau in the Free State of Saxony .

history

Even before the First World War, there was a FC Hartenfels in Torgau , which was champion of the Gauliga Elbe-Elster in 1913 . His local rival Sportfreunde Torgau won this title the following year.

But the origins of today's club go back to the Sportgemeinschaft Torgau founded in 1946 , which in the same year was first renamed SG Blau-Weiß Torgau and then BSG Blau-Weiß Torgau . On October 10, 1950, they merged with two other local company sports associations to form BSG Chemie Torgau . Until the district administration reform in 1952 , the BSG Chemie, like all other sports associations in the Torgau , Eilenburg and Delitzsch districts, belonged to the gaming operations of the state association of Saxony-Anhalt and was only then assigned to the newly established Leipzig district . Winning the then third-rate district championship in 1955 marked the club's greatest title success, which was not accompanied by a promotion to the second-rate GDR league due to a league reform undertaken at the same time . Instead, the BSG remained in the district league, which was now fourth class due to the introduction of the 2nd GDR league . When this was abolished again in 1963 and the district league moved up again into third class, the BSG remained fourth class in that year due to its relegation to the district class, which it remained with the exception of three seasons until the political change in 1989/90. The promotion of the next generation of the "chemists" had at that time u. a. the later Bundesliga professionals Olaf Marschall and Ronny Kujat produced. Your local rival in the era of GDR football was the BSG Motor Torgau , which later became the SSV 1952 Torgau .

Shortly before the reunification of Germany , the BSG Chemie renamed itself on July 23, 1990 as a now registered association in TSV Blau-Weiß Torgau . The new club remained in the district class of the Leipzig Football Association (LFV) , which has now been downgraded by two classes and in 1994 after the introduction of the regional league by another class. After TSV Blau-Weiß had to file for bankruptcy in 2001, his footballers separated from him and founded 1. FC Blau-Weiß Torgau , which merged with the football section of SSV 1952 to form today's SC Hartenfels Torgau on January 30, 2004. At this point in time, both clubs belonged to the seventh-class district class, in which they each had their own team for the 2004/05 season. The starting place of SSV 1952 for the 2005/06 season, which became free due to the merger that was subsequently completed, was assigned to 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig .

Although the SCH was able to move up to the Leipzig district league in 2008 as relay champion of the district class, it remained seventh class, as the third division was established in the same year . As of 2011, the club belonged to the seventh-class Landesklasse-Nord in the restructured league system of the Saxon Football Association , from which it was relegated to the league of the Northern Saxony district in 2017 . From 2012 to January 2013 Tomislav Piplica coached the first team. By winning the North Saxon District Cup on May 29, 2019, SCH qualified for the competition for the Saxon State Cup 2019/20 . As the first in the table of the district league season 2019/20, which was canceled on March 13, 2020 after the thirteenth match day due to the COVID-19 pandemic , the SCH was determined to be promoted to the state class North, even if the district champion title was not awarded.
