Jetty homepage

Jetty is a servlet / JSP container and web server written in Java . It is released as free software under the Apache License and the Eclipse Public License , but is not a project of the Apache Software Foundation . Its architecture and small size allow it to be easily integrated with other software. Among others, the J2EE - Application Server JOnAS and Geronimo use it for processing servlets and JSPs.

Jetty uses the JSP compiler Jasper from Apache Tomcat .

The Google Web Toolkit (GWT) relies on Jetty from version 1.6; previously the GWT worked with Apache Tomcat .
