Evdokiya Ivanovna Nossal
Evdokija Ivanovna Nossal ( Russian Евдокия Ивановна Носаль ; born March 13, 1918 in Burchak , Ukraine ; † April 23, 1943 near Novorossiysk , Soviet Union ) was a Soviet teacher and fighter pilot in the German-Soviet war .
Evdokija Nossal was a teacher. During the war, she was a Red Army soldier with the women-only night witches who flew Polikarpow Po-2 bombing missions at night in simple biplanes .
Evdokija Nossal was shot down on her 354th mission.
Posthumously she was given the title Hero of the Soviet Union .
