Korolev also drew attention to himself with cyclical performances of Bach's piano works. His Bach recordings were praised - György Ligeti, for example, particularly appreciated Korolev's recording of the art of the fugue and said:

"... but if I am to be allowed only one musical work on my desert island, then I should choose Koroliov's Bach, because forsaken, starving and dying of thirst, I would listen to it right up to my last breath."

"... but if I could only take one work with me to a lonely island, I would choose Korolev's Bach, because I would hear this recording, starving alone and dying of thirst, right up to my last breath."

In addition to the Viennese classics, his repertoire also includes works etc. a. from Franz Schubert , Frédéric Chopin , Claude Debussy to Olivier Messiaen and György Ligeti .
