description
The existence of the Dreiseithof Jexhof can already be proven for the year 1433 from a purchase contract. With 400 days of Buchenwald's work, it belonged to the Fürstenfeld monastery from 1564 to 1803 , which had leased the farm with the associated forest area for management. In 1862 Josef Riedl took over the farm with 88 days' work for 12,300 guilders from the previous owner Stefan Schmid, the family has managed the farm for three generations. The former maid , who had been working for the family since 1930, lived in the yard until 1980.
In 1983 the friends' association began its efforts to maintain the farm. In 1987 the district of Fürstenfeldbruck took over the sponsorship and opened the farm museum in the same year. Copies of the documents on the farm can be seen in the museum. The museum shows the living situation of the rural population at the beginning of the 20th century. In addition to the permanently accessible buildings and rooms of the courtyard, there are regular special exhibitions on regional topics. Days of action are organized at regular intervals that demonstrate life a hundred years ago. On days like this, visitors can, for example , wash, iron , dry and iron their clothes themselves without a washing machine and electricity with a fire - heated washing kettle , washboard and curd soap .
In addition to the permanent exhibition, special exhibitions are regularly shown. For example at Christmas 2016 for the Africa mission during the German colonial period and their financial support through mission money boxes .
investment
The courtyard consists of
- the stable barn, today's entrance building
- the Göpelhaus
- a residential building, built around 1775, consisting of a room, kitchen, storage cellar, pantry, bedroom, upper hall, servant's room, maidservant's room, hayloft and horse stable

Sound path
Since 2014 you can walk to the Jexhof on a sound path. This path, which was laid out in cooperation with the Heinrich Scherrer Music School for the 1250th anniversary of Schöngeising, is a mixture of adventure path, art object and playground in the forest. Among the sound objects on the path are, for example, a xylophone mammoth and gigantic hearing tubes.
