Urs Fueglistaller

Urs Fueglistaller (born April 29, 1961 ) is a Swiss economist and full professor for corporate management with a special focus on small, dynamic companies at the University of St. Gallen .

Life

After graduating from the Trogen Cantonal School , Urs Fueglistaller studied business administration at the University of St. Gallen , did his doctorate at the TU Cottbus and in 2002 became associate professor at the University of St. Gallen and managing director of the Swiss Institute for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (KMU-HSG ) at the University of St. Gallen, he has been a full professor since 2011 and director at the KMU-HSG since 2012. He runs the latter together with Thomas Zellweger and Isabella Hatak.

Together with Isabella Hatak and Thomas Zellweger , Fueglistaller leads the biannual research conference “Rencontres de St-Gall”, which was founded in 1948. He is one of the founders of the Swiss SME Day, which has been held every year in St. Gallen since 2003 and brings together well over 1,000 SME executives.

His main research interests are the structure and development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), service management in SMEs and entrepreneurship .
