Jiří Švejcar

Jiří Švejcar (born January 10, 1926 in Bratislava , Czechoslovakia ; † April 8, 2013 ) was a German-Slovak physician and human geneticist .

Jiří Švejcar studied at the Charles University in Prague and was awarded MUDr. and in chemical sciences to the CSc. PhD. He came to the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main on a scholarship in 1967 and was Managing Director of the Institute for Human Genetics from 1967 to 1977. In 1973 he was appointed professor at the Goethe University. In 1989 he retired.
