Jiří Homola (born July 2, 1980 in Nymburk , Czechoslovakia ) is a Czech football player .

Club career

Homola played in his youth for Sokol Přerov nad Labem, SK Český Brod, Spartak Čelákovice, Slavia Prague and again Spartak Čelákovice. In Čelákovice he was integrated into the men's team in the 1998/99 season.

After only one year, the defender was signed by the first division club FK Jablonec 97 , for which he completed 61 league games by the end of 2002, in which he scored six goals. In January 2003, Homola was signed by Sparta Prague . At first he played regularly, in the 2004/05 season he only played seven games and was mostly on the bench.

In the summer of 2005, he was deleted from the squad of the A-team and a short time later moved to the Turkish first division team Malatyaspor , with whom he could not keep the class. After a year, Homola returned to Prague . There he played a lot at the beginning, but was hardly used towards the end of the second half of the season. In February 2007 he returned to his former club FK Jablonec. Before the 2009/10 season, Homola moved to Slovakia for FK Senica .
