Jiří Vávra (born March 6, 1975 in Liberec ) is a former Czech football player .

Career

Vávra started playing football at Slovan Liberec . His first professional station was in 1993/94 Dukla Prague , then the then U21 national player moved to Slavia Prague . On May 8, 1995, the then 20-year-old played his only international match . In the match against Slovakia in Bratislava he was substituted on for Radim Nečas in the 90th minute of the game . A year later he was with Slavia Prague, in whose team he was a regular, Czech champions.

In the 1997/98 season Vávra played for the Israeli club Maccabi Haifa , then he returned to the Czech league and was active for two seasons for FK Jablonec . Then the midfielder moved to Marila Příbram , shortly afterwards to Viktoria Žižkov . It should remain his last professional station. In the 2003/04 season he played for SK Hořovice, then briefly for the Slovak second division club Družstevník Báč, in spring 2005 for Spolana Neratovice. Since the 2005/06 season he has been in the squad of fourth division club Viktorie Jirny. He ended his career there in 2006.
