Radim Nečas (born August 26, 1969 in Valtice ) is a former Czech football player and current football coach .
Player career
Radim Nečas began playing football with Slezan Frýdek-Místek, when he was 15 he moved to Baník Ostrava . There the midfielder made his debut in the first division in the 1987/88 season. In the early 1990s he was one of the most dangerous midfielders in the league and was signed by Slavia Prague in July 1992 for about 25 million crowns . He was after Dragiša Binić the most expensive player in the Czechoslovak league. In Prague Nečas did not have it easy due to the high transfer fee, but was still one of the top performers. In 1993/94 he was the team's top scorer with seven goals.
After the season Nečas moved to Union Cheb and made his debut at the end of the 1994/95 season in the Czech national team . When Union Cheb had to file for bankruptcy in 1996, Nečas went to the Greek first division club Skoda Xanthi . After only half a year he returned to the Czech Republic and from then on played for FK Jablonec 97 . In early 2000 a move to the Chinese club Liaoning Fushen seemed possible, but ultimately failed.
In 2000 he tried a comeback at Slavia after coach František Cipro had prevailed against all internal resistance, but left the club after six months in the direction of Slovan Bratislava . At the beginning of 2003 it looked like he was going to move to SK Hradec Králové , finally he went to third division club AFK Chrudim. He then played for the lower class club Viktorie Jírny and acquired the coaching license at the same time.
Coaching career
In 2005/06 Radim Nečas coached a junior team at Slavia Prague, in mid-2006 he took over third division club FK Bohemians Prague , and was dismissed after only five matchdays. In early 2007 he became assistant coach at the second division club FK Zenit Čáslav . For the 2007/08 season he took over the B-team of FC Slovan Liberec , in early September 2007 he was assistant coach for the first team. In February 2010 Nečas took over the coaching position at the Slovak first division club FK Senica . For the 2010/11 season Nečas was coach of the third division Arsenal Česká Lípa.
