Jiang Chaoliang (* 1957 ) is a Chinese bank manager and politician.

Life

Jiang studied economics at the University of Finance and Economics of Southwest China in Chengdu , where he graduated in 1996. From September 2008 to December 2011, Jiang was President of the China Development Bank . From the beginning of 2012 to the beginning of 2012, Jiang was head of the Chinese company Agricultural Bank of China . He went into politics in September 2014 and was appointed governor of Jilin Province. After two years, he was named Hubei Party Secretary in October 2016 . On February 12, 2020, as part of the COVID-19 pandemic , Jiang was removed from his post as Hubei Party Secretary and replaced by Ying Yong , Shanghai Mayor and a close ally of Party Secretary Xi Jinping .
