The Jilintai dam (Jilintai I, Chinese 吉林 台 一级 电站 , Pinyin Jílíntái yījí jiànzhàn - "Jilintai's first power plant") is a dam on the Kax with a CFR dam as a barrier structure. It is located 29 km east of Nilka in Nilka County in Xinjiang , China.
The dam was built between 2001 and 2005 and has multiple purposes, most notably hydropower. The hydropower plant has 460 MW. Jilintai I is the first of ten dams that are planned on the Kax. The storage space of the reservoir is 2530 million m³, the usable space is 1700 million m³.
Construction of Jilintai II, which is directly downstream, began in May 2008 and its 50 MW power plant was commissioned in October 2010. The project, including the distribution dam, was completed in April 2011.
