The Nilka district ( Chinese 尼勒克 县 , Pinyin Nílèkè Xiàn ; Uighur نىلقا ناھىيسى, Nilⱪa Naⱨiyisi ; Kazakh نىلقى اۋدانى, Nılqı Awdanı ) is a district of the Kazakh Ili Autonomous District in the northwest of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China . Its main town is the municipality of Nilka (尼勒克 镇).
The approx. 2600-2400 year old site of the copper mine and smelting place of Nulasai ( Nulasai tongkuang yizhi ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-129) since 2001 .
