Kaba (Altay)

The circle Kaba or Habahe ( Chinese  哈巴河 县 , Pinyin Hābāhé Xiàn ; Uighur قابا ناھىيىسى Ⱪaba Naⱨiyisi ; Kazakh قابا اۋدانى Qaba Awdanı ) is a district of the Altay administrative district of the Kazakh Ili Autonomous District in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China .

The district is bordered by Kazakhstan to the west and Burqin district to the east . The main town in the district is Akqi (阿克 齐 镇). The Kaba district has an area of ​​8185.55 km² and has 80,000 inhabitants (as of 2004). The river Kaba (also Habahe ), a right tributary of the Irtysh , flows through the district in a southerly direction.
