The Kaba ( Chinese 哈巴河 , also Haba He ) is a right tributary of the Irtysh ( Ertix ) in the Kazakh Ili Autonomous District in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China .

The river arises at the confluence of the Qaraqaba (right, "Black Kaba") and Aqqaba (left, "White Kaba") on the border between Kazakhstan and the People's Republic of China. It turns to the south-southeast and flows through the mountains in the Kaba district of the Altay administrative district . He makes a sharp turn to the west. Later it changes direction again to the south. There are two dams on this section of the river. Finally he leaves the mountains. It flows 5 km west of the city of Akqi in a southerly direction and flows on the right side into the westward flowing upper reaches of the Irtysh.

The Kaba River has a length of approx. 120 km.
