Burqin County ( Chinese  布尔津 县 , Pinyin Bù'ěrjīn Xiàn ; Uighur بۇرچىن ناھىيىسى Burqin Naⱨiyisi ; Kazakh بۋىرشىن اۋدانى Bwırşın Awdanı ) is a district of the Altay administrative district of the Kazakh Ili Autonomous District in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China . Its main town is the large community of Burqin ( 布尔津 镇 ). It has an area of ​​10,369.45 square kilometers and has 70,000 inhabitants. The city lies at the mouth of the river Burqin of the same name in the Irtysh .
