Anton Schweighofer
Anton Schweighofer (born November 17, 1930 in Ayancık , Sinop Province , Turkey ; † December 20, 2019 in Vienna ) was an Austrian architect .
Life
Anton Schweighofer studied architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with Clemens Holzmeister and graduated in 1954. This was followed by practical years in Austria, Sweden and Switzerland. From 1959 to 1964 there was a partnership with the architect Rupert Falkner (* 1930). Schweighofer's projects include kindergartens, schools, universities, homes, hospitals, housing, theaters and cultural centers and urban development. From 1977 he was the successor to Karl Schwanzer o. Univ.-Professor at the Institute for Building Science and Design (today: Institute for Architecture and Design) at the Technical University of Vienna . His urn was buried at the cemetery in St. Andrä-Wölker .
