Jim Bryant

Jim or Jimmy Bryant (* 2. June 1929 as James Howard Bryant in Birmingham (Alabama) ) is an American singer and composer .

Bryant studied composition at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston . In 1953 he came to New York City where he was active as a background singer . For the world success West Side Story he contributed the singing voice for the main actor Richard Beymer . For the US films Bye Bye Birdie (1963) and Modern Millie (1967) he sang one song each as a vocal double.

As a composer he created pieces of music for the amusement parks Disney World and Tokyo Disneyland as well as the music of numerous commercials.
