Jim O'Connor
Jim O'Connor (* before 1940) is / was an Irish film producer who was nominated for an Oscar in 1962 .
Life notes
O'Connor teamed up with Irish filmmaker Tom Hayes to help popularize Irish film. Together they produced the documentary short film Cradle of Genius (1961), for which they received an Oscar nomination. The film tells the story of the Abbey Theater , the Irish national theater in Dublin . However, Frank P. Bibas won the Oscar for the film Project Hope , which has the maiden voyage of the hospital ship "SS Hope" as its content.
What Jim O'Connor did before and after the film ended is not known.
