Live and act

Joseph Winzheimer was born on February 1, 1807 in the prince-bishop's city of Iphofen. In the first years of Winzheimer's life, the city came under Bavarian rule and became part of the Markt Bibart district court . After completing his medical degree, which Winzheimer achieved with a doctorate to become a Dr. med, he became a royal district court physician in Markt Einersheim near Iphofen . In Einersheim the Counts von Rechteren-Limpurg still had their own rulership, which was only dissolved in 1848.

On March 23, 1852, the Catholic Winzheimer moved up for the deceased member Georg Moritz Stöcker in the Bavarian state parliament. He thus represented the constituency of Neustadt an der Aisch / Middle Franconia. Nothing is known about Winzheimer's political positions; his predecessor was fond of the old liberal spectrum and also represented a peasant-friendly policy. Winzheimer died in Iphofen on June 2, 1897, after leaving the state parliament in 1855.
