Georg Moritz Stöcker

Georg Moritz Stöcker (born December 28, 1797 in Langenfeld near Neustadt an der Aisch ; † March 4, 1852 ibid) was a post holder , member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies and member of the National Assembly in Frankfurt am Main 1848/49 .

From 1815 to 1852 Stöcker was an innkeeper, post holder and farmer in Langenfeld. From 1831 to 1837 was a member of the district administrator of the Rezart district in Ansbach. From 1837 to 1843 he was a member of the state assembly of the Kingdom of Bavaria. On November 3, 1848, he succeeded Christian Carl von Glück in the Frankfurt National Assembly. He belonged to the Central March Association and represented an old liberal and - contrary to other anonymous rumors - farmer-friendly program. On February 24, 1849, he resigned from his mandate there . He was succeeded by Ferdinand Lammers . Stöcker was again a member of the Bavarian state parliament. He held this office until his death. After his death, Joseph Winzheimer succeeded him in the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies.

Georg-Moritz-Stöcker-Strasse is named after him in his birthplace Langenfeld.
