Jimilimé is one of the northernmost places on the island of Anjouan in the island state of Comoros in the Indian Ocean .
geography
Jimilimé lies together with Banda Mtsanga on the northern tip of the island. Until recently, the large town could only be reached via mule tracks. It lies at around 284 m above sea level and is known for growing cloves . Sometimes the mountain area around the place is also called Jimilimé. There you will find the peaks Dziani , Hantsandzi , Hanikora , Mboy and Joumbi . Important rivers are Trontroni , Bandagnouma and Hambondro .
