Jimmy Ashworth
Jimmy Ashworth , actually James M. Ashworth , (born April 8, 1957 ) is a retired British marathon runner .
In 1983 he finished second in the Berlin Marathon in 2:14:01 h. In 1984 he finished seventh in the London and second in the Miami Marathon . In 1985 he won the Berlin Marathon with his personal best of 2:11:43 and improved the course record by almost two minutes. The following year he set his half marathon best time of 1:02:24 h as fourth on the Great North Run .
Ashworth started for the Keighley and Craven Athletic Club.
