Jimmy Stayton
Jimmy Stayton (* 1937 in Delaware ) is an American rockabilly musician .
After Jimmy Stayton visited his sister in Virginia , he first discovered Elvis Presley , who stormed the charts with his new rockabilly sun sound. Back in Delaware, Stayton formed his own band, The Rockabye Band , and got a recording deal with Blue Hen. After two singles, Hot Hot Mama and You're Gonna Treat Me Right , he switched to the Del-Ray label, where he released the song The Hep Old Frog . These days, Stayton's records are very popular with rockabilly collectors. Stayton held in Milford in Amory Hall from own Barn Dances. It was very popular around Milford.
