Jingyu
The circle Jingyu ( Chinese 靖宇县 , pinyin Jìngyǔ Xiàn ) belongs to the administrative area of the prefecture-level city Baishan in the northeastern Chinese province of Jilin . It lies on the left bank of the upper reaches of the Songhua Jiang . Jingyu has an area of 3,094.4 km² and around 144,000 inhabitants (end of 2005). The Jingyu Military Missile Launch Site is located in the county area . Jingyu is also famous for its ginseng production.
Administrative structure
At the community level, Jingyu consists of six large communities and two communities . These are (population figures at the end of 2005):
- Jingyu Municipality (靖宇 镇), 165.8 km², 57,282 inhabitants, center, seat of the county government;
- Large community Sandaohu (三 道 湖镇), 545 km², 14,549 inhabitants;
- Large community Huayuankou (花园 口镇), 523.8 km², 17,588 inhabitants;
- Large village Jingshan (景山镇), 543.6 km², 17,312 inhabitants;
- Narhong community (那 尔 轰 镇), 392.3 km², 8,812 inhabitants;
- Longquan municipality (龙泉 镇), 181.4 km², 10,284 inhabitants;
- Community Chisong (赤松乡), 275.5 square kilometers, 6,670 inhabitants;
- Mengjiang Municipality (蒙 江 乡), 467 km², 11,961 inhabitants.
