Jizo Ike (from Japanese 地 蔵 池 ) is a small lake on the Prince Harald Coast of Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It is located on the Skarvsnes peninsula on the east bank of the Lützow-Holm Bay in the southwest of Kizahashi Beach .
Japanese scholars named him in 2012 after Jizo , a bodhisattva figure particularly popular in Japan .
