Jo Ann Simon

Jo Ann Simon (born November 2, 1946 in Norwalk , Connecticut ) is an American author . She writes books for young people and horses under the name Joanna Campbell .

After Simon graduated from Norfolk Community College , she married Kenneth M. Campbell in 1969. However, the marriage, which resulted in two children, ended in divorce. In 1988 she married Ian Bruce. The family moved to Maine and now live on the coast in Camden .

Simon is an author of adult and youth books. In 1981 she published her first novel for teenagers. Before she devoted herself to writing, she owned an antique mail order business. She also studied singing and classical piano and worked professionally in both fields.

She regularly writes books for the PonyClub. Among them are the series "Vollblut" and the completed series "Aileen"; also single tracks.
