Joachim Buchheister

Joachim Buchheister (* 1963 in Minden ) is a German lawyer , former judge of the Federal Administrative Court and acting President of the Higher Administrative Court of Berlin-Brandenburg .

Life

After completing his legal training , Buchheister entered the higher justice service in the state of Brandenburg in April 1994 . There he was after a six-month secondment to the Administrative Court at the Administrative Court Potsdam operates. From April 1997 to December 1999 he was seconded to the constitutional court of Brandenburg as a research assistant . On January 1, 2000, Buchheister became a judge at the Brandenburg Higher Administrative Court. From December 2005 to March 2006 he was seconded to the Brandenburg Ministry of Justice . In January 2007 Buchheister was appointed presiding judge at the Higher Administrative Court in Berlin-Brandenburg .

From June 2008 Buchheister was a judge at the Federal Administrative Court. Here he was assigned to the 3rd Revision Senate, which is responsible for health administration law, agriculture and forestry law , food law, hunting and fishing law , property allocation law and traffic law.

Buchheister has been President of the Berlin-Brandenburg Higher Administrative Court since December 2013.
