Joachim Georg Boeckh

Joachim Georg Boeckh (born September 3, 1899 in Dinglingen , † June 17, 1968 in Potsdam ) was a German literary scholar .

Life

He studied in Tübingen. From 1931 to 1933 he was a lecturer in German language and literature in the Volga German Republic and in Moscow. From 1933 to 1937 he was a private scholar. From 1937 to 1944 he was a teacher. From 1945 to 1949 he was director of the Collegium Academicum at Heidelberg University . In 1949 he became professor for modern German literary history at the Brandenburg State University . From 1951 to 1952 he taught as a professor at the Humboldt University . In 1954 he became an employee at the Berlin Academy of Sciences. From 1956 to 1961 he headed the department for literary history at the Berlin Academy. From 1962 he worked at the academy on a fee basis.
