Joachim Hill

Joachim Hill (born December 12, 1953 in Trier ) is a German geographer and professor for remote sensing at the University of Trier .

Life

Hill studied geography and history for the teaching profession from 1975 to 1981 and completed a master's degree in addition to the 1st state examination. After the 2nd state examination he received a doctoral scholarship from the European Union and from 1987 worked as a research assistant at the Joint Research Center of the EU in Ispra , Italy. There he was at the Institute for Remote Sensing Applications. In March 1994 he was appointed to the chair for remote sensing at the University of Trier.

Hill's working group is working on the research and optimization of land use in the Okavango Delta as part of the TFO project .
