Joachim Seeler

Klaus Joachim Seeler (born May 20, 1964 in Hamburg ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Hamburg Parliament .

biography

His father is the former senator of the health department and long-time member of the Hamburg citizenship, Hans-Joachim Seeler (SPD). His mother, Ingrid Seeler (SPD), was also a member of the citizenry and was primarily involved in youth and cultural policy. His older brother Christian Seeler is an actor and was director of the Hamburg Ohnsorg Theater from 1996 to 2017 . There are also family relationships with Uwe Seeler .

Joachim Seeler studied industrial engineering in Hamburg with a degree in industrial engineering. He received his doctorate with a thesis on the effects of new production technologies on the market structure: an analysis using the example of computer-integrated production technologies (CIM) at the Institute for Economic Research of the Hamburg World Economic Archive . Then he was assistant to the chairman of the board of Strabag AG in Cologne and later managing director of HGA Capital GmbH and member of the board of its parent company HSH Real Estate AG. In 2006, Seeler founded his own investment company, which he sold in 2011. Today he is the managing partner of HSP Hamburg Invest GmbH.

In the 2015 general election , he received a mandate from the state list. He was chairman of the Public Enterprises Committee and a member of the Economic and Budget Committee. He no longer belongs to the citizenship elected in 2020.

He is a member of the Ludwig Erhard Foundation , a member of the board of the Finanzplatzinitiative Hamburg eV and a member of the finance committee of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce.

Joachim Seeler is married and has one son.
