Joachim Wiebel (* April 1593 or January 1594 in Hersfeld ; † June 7, 1653 in Teinach ) was a law professor in Tübingen and advocate for the Duchy of Württemberg.

Live and act

Joachim Wiebel was awarded a Dr. iur. utr. doctorate and then worked 1639–1653 as a professor of feudal and criminal law in Tübingen and advocate for the Duchy of Württemberg. He was rector of the University of Tübingen in 1641/42, 1645, 1647/48, 1649 and 1651/52 . A portrait made in November 1648 hangs in the Tübingen professors' gallery . He died on June 7, 1653 at the age of 59 or 60 in Teinach and was buried two days later on June 9, 1653 in Tübingen.
