Joachim Willeitner

Joachim Willeitner (* 1957 in Hof ) is a German archaeologist , non-fiction author and tour guide .

Joachim Willeitner studied Egyptology , Near Eastern Archeology , Provincial Roman Archeology and Hittitology from 1977 and graduated in 1985 with a master's thesis on the subject of the Egyptian influence on the art of Western Asia . He has been traveling to the Middle East since 1980. From 1990 to 1995 he was editor of the magazine Antike Welt . Since then he has been working as a freelance author and editor and runs an image archive. He published numerous non-fiction books on archaeological topics.
