Jobst Henker (born December 26, 1941 in Radebeul ) is a German physician ( child and youth medicine ).

After graduating from high school in Frankenberg in 1960, he studied human medicine in Berlin at the Humboldt University and at the Medical Academy in Dresden , where he worked as an assistant doctor at the Pathological Institute from 1967 to 1970. It was during this time that he received his doctorate there in 1968.

Since 1970 he has held various medical functions at the clinic and polyclinic of the Dresden MedAk or its successor institution, the University Clinic Dresden : From 1974 he was a specialist in paediatrics, who received the Facultas Docendi in 1981 . After his doctorate in 1984, he worked as a senior physician from the following year.

In 1990, as a private lecturer and sub-specialist in gastroenterology in children, he interned in Toronto at the Hospital for Sick Children.

Since 1995 he has been an adjunct professor at the Clinic and Polyclinic for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at the Medical Faculty of the TU Dresden and at the University Clinic there. Since the 1990s, Henker has written a number of publications on the subject of pediatrics .
