Jochem Unger

Jochem Unger (born February 26, 1944 in Bad Soden am Taunus ) is a German mechanical engineer . Unger teaches heating, control and environmental technology at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (FHD) and is honorary professor in the field of mechanics at the Technical University of Darmstadt (TUD).

From 1960 to 1963 Unger completed an apprenticeship as a technical draftsman , followed by a degree in mechanical engineering at the Darmstadt Engineering School and an aircraft construction degree at the Technical University of Darmstadt, which he completed in 1971.

From 1972 to 1976 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Mechanics at TUD and until 1985 a specialist at Kraftwerk Union AG. In 1975 he received his doctorate , in 1983 he received his habilitation in mechanics at TUD . Since 1985 he has been professor for heating, control and environmental technology at the FHD and since 1991 honorary professor at the TUD.
