Jochen Hahnengress

Jochen Hahnengress (born in the 20th century) is a former German swimming athlete .

Career

Jochen Hahnengress took part in two Paralympic summer games with the German national handicapped swimming team. In 1988 he was at the Paralympic Summer Games in Seoul in the 100 m breaststroke in the performance class L 5 Olympic champion and won a gold medal . He also came third in the 100 m freestyle swimming and won a bronze medal .

Jochen Hahnengress also took part in the 1992 Paralympic Summer Games in Barcelona . Here, too, he won a gold medal in the 100 m breaststroke. He also won another gold medal in the 4 x 100 m relay with the cast of Hahnengress, Geert Jahresig , Adolf Schmidt and Holger Wölk . Finally he won a bronze medal in 50 m freestyle swimming.

Finally, he took part in the 1994 World Disabled Swimming Championships in Malta , but without getting into the medal ranks.

For winning a medal at the Paralympic Summer Games in 1992, he was awarded the silver laurel leaf by Federal President Richard von Weizsäcker .
