Jochen Haug

Jochen Haug (born January 11, 1973 in Aulendorf ) is a German lawyer and politician ( AfD ). He is a member of the 19th Bundestag .

Life

Jochen Haug was formerly a member of the CDU. He is a lawyer in Cologne. In 2003 he became a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Rheno-Baltia Cologne in the CV .

From 2014 to 2017 Haug was a member of the Cologne City Council for the AfD. Since 2015 he has been the deputy spokesman for the NRW regional association of the AfD.

Haug was placed second on the AfD state list of North Rhine-Westphalia in the 2017 federal election and moved into the Bundestag. At the federal party conference on December 1, 2019, he was elected third AfD assessor. Politically, he advocates referendums and more direct democracy .

In the 19th German Bundestag Haug is vice chairman of the Committee on Interior and home . He is also a deputy member of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Consumer Protection , the Election Review Committee , and the Board of Trustees of the Federal Agency for Civic Education.
