Jochen Lüdicke

Jochen Lüdicke (born December 29, 1958 in Duisburg ) is a German lawyer and tax advisor as well as honorary professor . He is a partner at the major international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and President of the Federal Association of Tax Consultants

Life

After graduating from high school, he studied law at the University of Würzburg and in 1977 became a member of the Catholic student association KDStV Thuringia Würzburg . He then completed his legal clerkship in Würzburg. 1985 Lüdicke was admitted to the bar. He received his doctorate from the University of Würzburg in 1985 on the subject of tax reductions on foreign income .

After working for the auditing company Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. in Frankfurt am Main, he was admitted as a tax advisor and made a partner in 1990. From 1993 to 2020 he was a partner in the law firm Bruckhaus Westrick Stegemann, which is now part of the major international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer through a merger. Since May 2020 he has been a managing partner of the law firm Lüdicke & Kollegen.

Since 2012 he has been president of the Federal Association of Tax Consultants eV Lüdicke, founded in 1949, is an expert in the fields of tax and finance law. In addition to his advisory work, Lüdicke is also active as a professional author.

In 2011 Lüdicke became honorary professor at the University of Düsseldorf. He volunteers in a variety of non-profit and church organizations. In 2015 he was awarded the papal order “Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice” and in 2018 the Josef Neuberger Medal by the Jewish community. In 2020 he received the award "Lawyer of the Year" in the “Tax” category from Handelsblatt and best lawyer.

Lüdicke is married and has three sons. He lives in Düsseldorf.
