Life and work

Jochen Ritter was born on May 12, 1966 in Rüthen an der Möhne, grew up in Finnentrop - Ostentrop , attended elementary school in Schönholthausen and the Rivius grammar school in Attendorn . After graduating from high school, he completed an apprenticeship as a business administration graduate (FH) at the Olpe district administration, followed by a degree in industrial engineering (FH). After 20 years in the senior service of the district administration, he moved to the Gummersbach city ​​administration as head of the real estate management department in 2009 . Political party

In 1999 Jochen Ritter became a member of the CDU. Since 2009 he has been a member of the CDU parliamentary group in the city council of Olpe. From 2012 to 2016 he was chairman of the Olpe city association and in 2015 he was chairman of the CDU district association. In addition, since 2014 he has been chairman of the supervisory board of Gewerbepark Hüppcherhammer GmbH, an intermunicipal business park in the two cities of Olpe and Drolshagen.

In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 , he was elected as a direct candidate with 54.73% of the first votes in his constituency as a CDU member of the state parliament.
