The Jock Point is a headland on the north coast of South Georgia . It is located on the north bank of Sunset Fjord in the Bay of Isles .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped it between 1928 and 1930. They named the headland after Petty Officer J. ("Jock") Purvis of the Royal Navy , who was involved in the survey work carried out on it .
