Joe Baca, Jr.

Joe Baca, Jr. (born October 8, 1969 in Barstow , California ) is an American politician. The Democrat is a son of Joe Baca , a former member of the US House of Representatives .

Baca grew up in Rialto where he attended local schools and later taught himself. He graduated from San Bernardino Valley College with an associate degree , then studied at California State University, San Bernardino, where he earned a Master of Public Administration .

In late 2004, Joe Baca was elected to the California State Assembly (Electoral District 62). Shortly before the end of his two-year term, he resigned to run for the California Senate , but he failed in his party's primary . In 2012, Baca made another attempt to enter the State Assembly. He reached the main election, but was defeated by his rival Cheryl R. Brown - also a Democrat.

Joe Baca, Jr. is currently a member of the Rialto City Council, serving until the end of 2014. In 2008, he was sent to Electoral College to elect Barack Obama as US President.
